2020 Gold Medal Winner
Refreshing crisp dry white from Austria. Classic example of a Grüner Veltliner. Bright, pale greenish-yellow in the glass and intensively fragrant on the nose with yellow pear, ripe apples and fine spice at the back.
On the palate, dry with delicate acidity, very fruity ripe stone fruits, elegant peppery spice, fine body and a pleasant clean finish.
An excellent, versatile wine or food pairing but especially good with fish and crumbed dishes such as Wiener Schnitzel. Surprisingly good with delicate soft cheeses too.
A lovely wine and a great discovery.
