Delicious A.O.C. Côtes du Rhône Villages from a blend of Syrah, Genache and Carignan grapes.
A beautiful garnet coloured wine with concentrated notes of dark red berries, blackcurrant, violets and a hint of liquorice on the palate, with the Syrah bringing a touch of spice.
The grapes are from 35yr old vines grown on a selection of plots where yields are limited by strict regulation. In the cellar, the grapes are fully de-stemmed before a cold, gentle pressing to avoid over-extraction, followed by a cool, pre-fermentation maceration to extract the full fruit of the grapes. Fermentation is also temperature controlled with only the Syrah being vinified in French oak barrels for at least 6 months before blending and bottling.
Enjoy with tasty meats such as duck breast, country stews, Provencal leg of lamb, hearty roasts including game.
